We're a community coalition working to make Wilkens Ave safer for people who walk, bike, and ride transit — and to grow a more vibrant, connected neighborhood for everyone.
Safer sidewalks, crossings, bike infrastructure, and bus stops along the corridor.
Better lighting, shelters, and access for the thousands who rely on transit daily.
Expanding housing options and supporting local commercial growth along the ave.
Who We Are
The Wilkens Ave Renaissance Coalition is a grassroots group of residents, business owners, and community advocates working to transform the Wilkens Avenue corridor through advocacy, planning, and direct engagement with city agencies and elected officials.
We advocate for infrastructure improvements that protect pedestrians, cyclists, and transit users along the Wilkens Ave corridor — from better crosswalks to protected bike lanes to accessible bus stops.
We support thoughtful expansion of housing options and commercial development along the corridor, creating a more vibrant, walkable neighborhood for existing and future residents.
Every decision we advocate for is shaped by the people who live and work here. Join a meeting, share your voice, or volunteer to help move the work forward.
